Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Pediatric Psych Profession:

13 weeks Shift: 2:00 PM - 11:30 PM Hours per Shift: 36 Experience:
Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing required. Pediatric
Behavioral Health experience preferred. License: State License
required Certifications: BLS, MOAB obtained on site as part of
orientation Must-Have: - De-escalation experience - Experience with
physical restraints - Comfortability to run groups - Documentation
skills Description: Immediate start needed. Interviews conducted
through Simplified processes. Must be willing to float between
pediatric and adult units as needed. Facility provides specialized
therapies, including pet therapy and group sessions. The patient
population includes involuntary and voluntary admissions, ages 5-18
for pediatrics and 18 for adults. Common pediatric diagnoses
include Eating Disorders, Depression, Suicidal Ideation, Anxiety,
Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Adult patients often present with Schizophrenia, Major Depressive
Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Eating Disorders, Suicidal Ideation,
and Anxiety. No forensic patients or inmates are present. The
facility utilizes seclusion rooms when necessary. Occasional
evaluation of patients with Substance Use Disorder or Detoxing on
CIWA, with prior medical clearance required. Patient ratios include
1 RN to 5-6 patients during the day and 1 RN to 13 patients at
night, with resource support. Psych Techs available: 6 during the
day for pediatrics, 2 at night; 2 for adults during the day and 2
at night. Support on the unit includes Nurse Supervisor evenings
and weekends, Nurse Manager during the day, and various on-site
healthcare professionals during designated hours. Charting system
used is Cerner, and Pyxis is utilized for medications. Floating is
required between adult and pediatric units. Weekends are scheduled
every other weekend without guaranteed block scheduling. Holiday
work is to be expected in rotation. Time off approval allows up to
7 days and must accommodate to ensure shift coverage. Scrub colors
must be solid and professional. Requirements Required for
