A busy and successful Veterinary Practice in Norwalk is in search of an enthusiastic and energetic Veterinary Assistant to join the team. If you have the following qualifications apply today! Qualifications A current Veterinary Assistant Certificate in good standing is preferred Educational background in Veterinary Medicine or science is preferred At least 1-year of hands-on experience previously working as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Assistant Certificate The ability to perform a multitude of veterinary assistant tasks including animal handling, client communication, record keeping, handling and preparing laboratory samples including blood, urine, and feces, administering medications, assisting technicians, veterinarians, and other staff, and MORE! A learning mindset, as it is never too late to learn new skills or to improve the ones you already have Attention to detail and a high degree of organization A positive, friendly demeanor is a MUST! Honesty and reliability are required for this position Hours & Availability This is a full time opening! Your availability should align with our hours of operation as follows: Monday - Friday: 8:300am 5:00pm /- Saturday: 8:30am - 12:30pm We are only open 1-2 Saturdays per month! Compensation & Benefits Our amazing team members can expect competitive pay! The starting range for this position is $18-$25 per hour, dependent upon education and/or experience.
