the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Endoscopy RN in Bangor, Maine, 04401! Job Title:
Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Profession: Registered Nurse
Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 Week Contract Shift: 7:00 AM -
3:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of
Endoscopy experience preferred. License: Registered Nurse
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (optional) Must-Have: Experience in
scrubbing and circulating is strongly preferred. Description: As
soon as possible start date needed. Manager interviews will be
conducted. This is a Level II Trauma Center with a total of 411
beds. The unit consists of 11 Pre-op bays, 8 PACU bays, and 5
procedure rooms. The unit is very busy and works with multiple
physician groups. Patient types include inpatient and outpatient.
An average of 35-40 procedures are performed daily. Advanced GI
procedures include ERCP with stent placement, colonic EMR, colonic
stents, EUS, and biliary stents. Experience in these procedures is
necessary for consideration. Candidates should inform if they have
scrubbed or only circulated. General GI procedures include EGD,
colonoscopy, hemorrhoid procedures, PEG insertion, and colon
ablation. Pediatric GI procedures include EGD and colonoscopy.
Pulmonary procedures include bronchoscopies, EBUS, thoracentesis,
and Pleurx catheter insertion. The Northeast Surgery Team handles
general surgical inpatient procedures. Patient ratios in Pre-op are
1:3-4. Recovery is phase 2 with a ratio of 1:2-3. Most cases are
performed under monitored anesthesia care. If a patient is put
under general anesthesia, efforts will be made to recover them
quickly in the room. If unable to do so, the patient will be moved
to the Main OR PACU. Candidates should possess pre/post-op
experience and basic bronchoscopy and intra-op experience. The
charge nurse does not take patient assignments, ensuring dedicated
support on the unit. Support staff includes unit secretaries,
appointed team leads in pre-op, and CNAs in pre/post-op areas.
Charting will be completed using the Cerner system. The hours of
operation are Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Travelers
typically work from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. There are no weekend
rotations or on-call requirements. There are no holiday
