Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This contract opportunity seeks experienced Certified Surgical Technologists (CST) to support a busy Operating Room team. Ideal candidates bring a minimum of two years of experience and specialized skills in trauma and various surgical subspecialties. This role offers evening shifts and a chance to contribute to high-acuity surgeries with advanced technology. Location: Biddeford, ME Located close to Portlands vibrant medical community, this position offers access to beautiful coastal scenery, a welcoming small-town atmosphere, and rich New England culture. Key Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms and equipment for a diverse range of surgical procedures Assist surgical teams in Level 1 trauma cases as well as general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and other specialties Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols Participate in trauma and specialty call rotations as scheduled Collaborate effectively to ensure seamless surgical care and patient safety Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is mandatory At least 2 years of operating room surgical technology experience Experience in Level 1 trauma settings preferred Familiarity with equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robotics Demonstrated flexibility, accountability, punctuality, and team-oriented attitude Schedule: Evening shifts: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. 36 guaranteed hours weekly Rotating weekends, approximately 1 in 4, 12-hour shifts One overnight trauma call shift per rotation (11 p.m. 7 a.m.), with specialty team call as appropriate Benefits and Perks: Access to state-of-the-art surgical equipment and technology Engage with a multidisciplinary team delivering exceptional surgical care Opportunity to gain diverse experience across multiple surgical specialties Biddeford, ME blends small-town charm with proximity to urban amenities.
