MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home personal care and support services to adults and seniors. PSS staff work directly with individuals in their homes to support daily living needs and promote safety, independence, and stability. No Experience Needed - We Train and Support You. This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, compassionate, and willing to learn. You will work independently in home settings while receiving ongoing support and supervision. Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour , depending on experience, certification, and availability Pay Increases: Opportunities for pay increases based on performance, reliability, and additional certifications Schedule Options: Full-time and Part-time positions available (Day, evening, weekend, and overnight if applicable) Flexible scheduling Ongoing supervision and support Career growth opportunities (CRMA, CNA, DSP, CNA-M, Nursing pathways) Mileage reimbursement (when applicable) Supportive office team available for guidance and problem-solving Job Description / Duties Personal Support Specialists (PSS) provide hands-on, non-medical support to older adults and individuals with disabilities to help them live safely and comfortably in their homes or residential settings. Services are provided according to each client's authorized plan of care and MaineTouch guidelines. As a PSS, you will: Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and basic hygiene Support clients with mobility and transfers , including safe movement with or without mobility aids Help with household tasks related to care , including light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens Assist with meal preparation, meal serving, grocery shopping, and errands as outlined in the care plan Provide companionship and conversation and support daily routines or hobbies Observe and report changes in a client's condition or safety concerns to your supervisor Follow all instructions and perform only tasks listed in the client's service plan Complete required documentation accurately and on time Follow infection control and safety guidelines during all client interactions Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and MaineTouch policies Respond appropriately to emergencies and report incidents immediately Treat all clients with dignity and respect Maintain dependable attendance and follow assigned schedules Follow all MaineTouch policies and procedures and participate in required training Who This Job Is For This position is a good fit for individuals who: Enjoy one-on-one work with clients Prefer working independently rather than in large teams Are dependable and comfortable working in home settings Want flexible scheduling Are looking for meaningful, hands-on work that makes a difference Qualifications Must be at least 17 years of age High School Diploma or GED preferred Active PSS certification in the State of Maine , OR willingness to enroll in a PSS training program within 60 days of hire CNA (active or inactive) accepted No experience required - training and support provided Must pass required background checks Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings Ability to work independently Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities Strong communication skills Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent) Additional Information Job Types: Full-Time, Part-Time Work Location: In person (client homes) Schedule: Flexible; shifts may range from 2-40 hours per week Shift Availability: Day, evening, weekend, and overnight if applicable How to Apply Apply today to begin the hiring process.
