Bangor offers vibrant city life, scenic riverfronts, and access to Maine's renowned outdoor recreation—making it an ideal location for healthcare professionals seeking both career growth and lifestyle balance./n /n/nRegistered Nurse Job Details/n /n - Location: Bangor, Maine (04401) – Maine nursing jobs/n - Unit: Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit (G5, 44 beds)/n - Assignment Type: Travel RN contract/n - Start Date: December 23, 2025/n - End Date: March 21, 2026/n - Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment/n - Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)/n - Hours per Week: 48 guaranteed/n - Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend/n - Orientation: 2 days hospital orientation 1 unit shift/n - Charting System: Cerner EMR/n - Scrub Color: Any professional color/n - Parking: Free in designated areas/n - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $2040/n /n/nMed/Surg Tele RN Qualifications/n /n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Maine or compact state/n - Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (more preferred)/n - BLS certification (required)/n - NIHSS and ACLS certifications (preferred)/n - Proficient in reading and interpreting rhythm strips/n - Previous charge nurse experience highly preferred/n - First-time travel nurses welcome – great opportunity for new travelers!/n /n/nTravel RN Responsibilities/n /n - Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with diverse medical diagnoses (excluding primary cardiac)/n - Monitor and care for patients on telemetry, including those with stroke, COPD, respiratory illnesses, GI bleeds, renal failure, and electrolyte imbalances/n - Administer and manage cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), insulin drips, and heparin drips (training provided if needed)/n - Perform trach care, chest tube management, wound care, IV starts, central line management, and other core med/surg RN skills/n - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and physical therapists/n - Float as needed to other Medical Surgical or Telemetry units within scope of practice/n - Maintain professional standards, effective communication, and teamwork at all times/n /n/n /n Ready to take the next step in your travel nursing career?
