Enjoy Maine healthcare travel nursing in a welcoming Downeast coastal community with scenic shoreline and outdoor recreation./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Job Title: Travel Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) – Days/n - Location: Machias, Maine (On-site) – Downeast coastal community with easy access to outdoor recreation/n - Contract Dates: 04/06/2026 – 07/06/2026/n - Duration: 13-week travel contract (option to extend based on facility needs)/n - Hours: 40 hours/week/n - Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM/n - Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts/n - Call: Required; 45-minute arrival time/n - Setting: Critical access hospital Operating Room (OR) with PACU support/n /n/nOperating Room RN (Perioperative Nurse) Requirements/n /n - Experience: Recent Operating Room RN experience (circulating and scrubbing required)/n - Ability to support PACU Phase I recovery and post-anesthesia care as needed/n - Comfort working in a critical access hospital with a broad surgical case mix/n - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative services team/n - Commitment to patient- and family-centered care, safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality/n - Preferred Certification: CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room)/n /n/nKey Responsibilities (OR RN / Perioperative Nursing)/n /n - Deliver safe, effective, high-quality perioperative nursing care across the surgical continuum/n - Perform circulating RN and scrub RN duties, anticipating surgeon and team needs/n - Support PACU Phase I recovery, including post-anesthesia monitoring and patient stabilization as needed/n - Maintain sterile technique, complete accurate surgical counts, and follow infection control standards/n - Coordinate with anesthesia, surgeons, and perioperative staff to support efficient patient flow and optimal outcomes/n - Assist with cases across multiple specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, podiatry, OB-GYN, pain management, urology, and endoscopy/n - Document care accurately and comply with facility policies, privacy standards, and professional practice guidelines/n /n/n Apply now to join this Machias, Maine travel nursing opportunity and make an immediate impact in the Operating Room.
