be considered. An opportunity is available for an experienced
Operating Room nurse with a focus on Gynecology and Genitourinary
procedures at a Level One Trauma Center. This role requires a
minimum of three years of level 1 trauma-trained nursing
experience, and expertise in complex surgical procedures including
Robotics (DaVinci Xi), PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants,
hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and
ureteroscopies. The patient population ranges from pediatrics to
geriatrics, and the position demands surgical precision,
exceptional patient care, and resilience in a fast-paced,
high-stress environment. Location: Positioned in Scarborough, ME,
with the primary work site in Portland, this facility offers a
dynamic setting within a high-acuity operating room department
featuring 26 beds and a 1:1 patient ratio. The operating room is
equipped with advanced technology including Storz, Stryker, Olympus
instruments, and the Intuitive Surgical Robot. The EMR system used
is Epic. Responsibilities: Perform surgical nursing duties
specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures. Assist
with complex robotic and open surgeries utilizing advanced
equipment and technology. Work collaboratively with
multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient outcomes. Manage
perioperative care for patients spanning all age groups.
Participate in scheduled call rotations, including overnight trauma
coverage. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and
infection control procedures. Qualifications: Current RN license
with at least three years experience in Level 1 trauma operating
rooms. Competency in robotic surgery (DaVinci Xi) and specialized
GU/GYN surgical procedures. CNOR certification preferred. Proven
ability to provide patient-centered care under pressure.
Flexibility, strong accountability, punctuality, and excellent team
collaboration skills. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, primarily days from
7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekend coverage at a ratio of 1:4.
Approximately 36 guaranteed hours weekly. One scheduled overnight
trauma call (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM). Scarborough, ME offers a
