Job Description:
Are you a compassionate Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon dedicated
to delivering exceptional patient-centered care and eager to
collaborate within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary pediatric team?
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center’s pediatric orthopedic
practice, with a longstanding history in Maine, is seeking an
additional BC/BE pediatric orthopedic surgeon to join our team. The
opportunity: - Join 2 full-time providers practicing general
pediatric orthopedics, including a multitude of conditions such as
slipped capital femoral epiphysis, pediatric fracture care, benign
bone tumors, lower extremity deformity, clubfeet, early-onset
scoliosis, neuromuscular scoliosis, adolescent scoliosis, hip
dysplasia, congenital deformity and more. - Support staff includes
2 full-time ortho techs, 2 dedicated medical assistants and 2
pediatric schedulers - Typical schedule includes 2-3 clinic days
with availability for 2 OR days per week. - Pediatric orthopedic
call only - Intraoperative 3D navigation adjuncts such as Ziehm and
Arcadis, in addition to our established surgical spinal deformity

serving a population of 500,000 living in the northern two-thirds
of Maine. We offer dedicated neonatal and pediatric transport and
are a base hospital for LifeFlight of Maine, a critical care air
transport service flying nearly 900 missions per year. Northern
Light Eastern Maine Medical Center serves as the Regional Pediatric
Specialty Center and has forged strong relationships with regional
hospitals and providers as part of its tertiary pediatric care
mission. Pediatric sub-specialty support includes surgery,
pediatric anesthesiology, neonatology, gastroenterology, neurology,
cardiology, infectious disease, endocrinology, genetics,
ophthalmology, developmental pediatrics and child life services.
Pediatric hospitalist and intensivist services are available 24/7.
Additional support staff within orthopedics includes sports
medicine, orthopedic trauma, and orthopedic oncology. Physicians at
