be considered. A contract nursing opportunity is available in a
well-equipped Operating Room specializing in surgery. This role
offers a dynamic work environment focusing on orthopedics, sports
medicine, general surgery, and various specialty cases including
cataracts, urology, gynecology, and cardiology procedures.
Location: Situated in the scenic Northfield, Vermont area, this
position is linked with a licensed 122-bed hospital known for
quality patient care and a focus on surgical excellence. The
Operating Room team works in five well-appointed suites, supporting
a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
Vermont offers a peaceful setting with abundant outdoor
recreational activities, making it an appealing place for
professionals who enjoy a balanced lifestyle. Responsibilities:
Circulate and scrub in surgical procedures including orthopedic
joint replacements, minor trauma repairs (ORIFs), cataracts, and
C-sections (training provided). Collaborate closely with anesthesia
and respiratory teams available 24/7 for patient support. Adhere to
strict OR dress code including hospital-provided scrubs and
dedicated OR footwear. Manage documentation via the EPIC system.
Participate in call rotations including one weekend every five
weeks and one weekday evening call per week. Maintain compliance
with all surgical protocols and patient safety standards.
Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years
clinical experience, including 2 years in the Operating Room
specialty. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Ability to work
8-10 hour days or 8-hour evening shifts Monday through Friday.
Experience with surgical asepsis and readiness to work in a
high-acuity surgical environment. Strong communication and teamwork
skills. Work Schedule: Day shifts: 06:5015:30 or 06:5017:30 Evening
shifts: 11:0019:30 No weekend day shifts required, but call
coverage includes weekends and holidays. This contract role
