This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in the Operating Room setting, seeking a travel assignment in a supportive hospital environment located in a scenic coastal town. This position offers a 13-week contract starting in early April, designed to maintain continuity of care as you replace a valued traveler. Location Overview Waldoboro, ME, is a charming New England town known for its picturesque waterfront, rich maritime history, and close-knit community. This location provides a peaceful atmosphere balanced with access to natural beauty, including nearby Bays and forests, making it a great place to explore during time off. Responsibilities: Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room with a focus on patient safety and infection control. Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare and maintain sterile environments. Respond to intraoperative emergencies and assist with clinical decision-making. Manage call shifts including one weeknight (1630-0700) and one weekend (48 hours) approximately every six weeks. Comply with hospital protocols and maintain documentation of care. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active RN license with Operating Room experience. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Familiarity with operating room standards and scrub procedures. Willingness to participate in required call shifts. Excellent communication and critical thinking skills. Schedule: Four days per week, 0700-1630 with rotating day off. Approximately 36 hours per week. Additional Information: Scrubs are provided on-site. This is a travel position with a 13-week contract.
