Job Description Job Description Job Title: Opening Cook Job Description We are seeking an experienced Opening Cook to join our team. You will work from 4 am to 1:30 pm. Initially, during the training period, you will work as many days as possible due to current staffing needs. The regular schedule will eventually be Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday. You will be responsible for all aspects of food preparation and cooking, including working on grills and ovens for large-scale food production. Additionally, you will assist with dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and tray preparation. You will also manage buffet-style and walk-up counters in the café, and facilitate tray deliveries to rooms. Responsibilities Perform all steps of food preparation and cooking. Operate grills and ovens for large-scale food production. Assist with dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen. Prepare trays and manage buffet-style and walk-up counters. Deliver trays to rooms. Essential Skills At least 3 years of cooking experience in a high-volume location such as hospitals, corporate kitchens, or universities. Proficiency in food service and food preparation. ServSafe certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Must be a good team player. Strong communication skills. Experience in a kitchen environment. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
