Principal Software Engineer (AI)Location: Fully RemoteA leading software start up (Mid stage) in the supply chain domain are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal Software Engineer to lead their AI software initiatives. The Principal Software Engineer will need a strong Elixir programming background, and will be responsible for architecting advanced AI systems, and mentoring engineers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges, define the AI feature roadmap, and significantly impact our platform and the supply chain industry.Key Responsibilities:

• Define and articulate our AI vision and strategy from a software engineering perspective.
• Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases across OMS, Billing, WMS, and more.
• Architect and implement scalable AI systems and infrastructure.
• Design and develop machine learning models.
• Integrate and utilize Large Language Models (LLMs) via APIs.
• Write maintainable code in Elixir, Python, and other languages.
• Build and maintain data pipelines.
• Ensure AI system performance, reliability, and security.General Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical direction and guidance.
  • Lead system design and implementation.
  • Solve complex technical challenges.
  • Mentor engineers and foster continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality and software development practices.
  • Lead cross-team technical initiatives.What You'll Need:
    • 10+ years in software engineering with a focus on AI and machine learning.
    • Proven track record of implementing complex AI systems.
    • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and data analysis.
    • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
    • Proficiency in Elixir, Python, and related libraries.
    • Strong data engineering skills.
