Job Description:
Nesco Data Center & Infrastructure is seeking a Data Center
Network Technician in the Greater Norwalk CT Area. We are seeking a
skilled Data Center Network Technician with experience in data
centers and fiber optics to provide on-site technical support,
troubleshooting, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will assist
with hardware installations, network configurations, cable
management, and fiber optic troubleshooting in a fast-paced IT
environment. Shift: Weds/Thurs from 6am-2pm & Fri/Sat from 6am-6pm
Pay: $30-36/hr Job Responsibilities: Experience maintaining fiber,
network cabling, managing switch and router configurations, and
troubleshooting network issues. Working with the Lead and Manager,
tickets will be triaged as they are assigned and completed on
schedule. Client’s ticketing system must be monitored,
acknowledged, and updated in real time using the provided
documentation. Must be able to work the provided shift which could
change based on the customer’s contractual needs. Tasks involve
rack and Stack, configuring and connecting new servers or
appliances, rebooting servers or appliances, checking status
lights, doing inventories and escorts, etc. Must complete all
internal and customer provided training without delay. May be
required to be on daily meetings with the client, our internal Lead
or Manager to discuss open or completed tickets. Possess positive
attitude and strong analytical skills Must be a self-starter who is
able to work independently without supervision and within a team
environment Must possess a professional demeanor and the ability to
develop effective working relationships with end users and
stakeholders. Perform visual inspection of third-party equipment
such as carrier or provider network equipment Provide fault
isolation and break/fix activities for the in-scope data center
equipment (servers, backup, storage) and network devices (including
network sniffer, vulnerability scanners and security sensors)
Provide fault isolation for network devices (including network

network cable and jack testing Perform all cable patching as
required Provide after-hours support (during critical change
activities) for critical network upgrades and maintenance Perform
