Job Description Job Description Senior Maintenance Technician The Senior Maintenance Technician serves as the second-in-command to the Maintenance Lead, providing advanced technical support and leadership in maintaining and repairing equipment, systems, and facilities. This role ensures operational efficiency, compliance with safety standards, and supports team development. This is a Direct Hire position located near Woodstock IL. Key Responsibilities Act as on-site lead when the Maintenance Lead is unavailable; direct team activities and communicate with TPM for workload coordination. Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems. Assist in vendor coordination and oversee service quality. Conduct quality assurance checks on completed work and document findings in QA logs. Prepare and present daily completion reports, including tickets processed and equipment serviced. Monitor SLO/SLA deadlines and ensure timely responses. Support preventive maintenance programs and maintain compliance with GMP and safety standards. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred. 3-5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments (food manufacturing experience is a plus). Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; familiarity with automation and robotics. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
