Dental, Vision Role Overview PerkinElmer is seeking an experienced
Technical Content Designer who is passionate about clear
communication and customer-focused content experiences. This role
will focus on transforming how users engage with product
documentation by leveraging modern tools and technologies to create
intuitive, web-based help content for laboratory instrument
systems. The ideal candidate brings strong technical writing
expertise, UI/UX awareness, and advanced MadCap Flare experience
within a scientific or engineering environment. Key
Responsibilities Design and develop user-friendly, web-based
technical help content for customer-facing laboratory instrument
systems using strong UI/UX principles. Create modular,
single-source documentation using MadCap Flare. Apply user-centered
learning and content design principles to ensure clarity,
usability, and accessibility. Develop high-quality content tailored
to multiple user personas. Ensure all documentation aligns with
brand, style, and internal content standards. Continuously improve
content based on user feedback and analytics. Collaborate with
global, cross-functional teams throughout the product development
lifecycle. Embed multimedia and structured metadata to support
AI-driven and chatbot-based content delivery. Manage tasks and
documentation workflows using Jira. Basic Qualifications Bachelors
degree in Technical Communication, Science, Engineering, or a
related field. Strong experience with HTML and XML authoring and
modular/single-source content strategies. Mid-to-expert level
proficiency with MadCap Flare and related tools. Experience
incorporating AI tools into technical communication workflows.
Solid understanding of UI/UX principles for digital content.
Experience embedding multimedia in web-based help systems.
Familiarity with structured content and meta tagging for AI/chatbot
consumption. Proven ability to work effectively in
cross-functional, global teams. Strong project tracking and
organizational skills using Jira. Excellent written and verbal
English communication skills. Must-Have Skills 710 years of
relevant technical content or technical writing experience. Strong
proficiency in MadCap Flare. Comfortable with modern technical
writing tools (HTML flexibility acceptable; not a software
development role). Working experience with Jira for daily task
management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice
to Have Experience developing documentation for AI chatbots. Strong
requirements gathering skills. Background in life sciences,
biotech, or engineering industries. Technical communication
experience within scientific environments. Open to full-time
