we collectively share. Services are available to community members
living on and off-reservation across the State of Maine. Position
Summary: The IT Support Technician is tasked with providing
advanced technical support, playing a crucial role in the
maintenance and enhancement of the organizations IT infrastructure.
This role involves diagnosing and resolving high-level technical
issues, contributing to IT projects, and supporting cybersecurity
measures. This is a full-time benefits eligible position, with an
hourly range starting at $25 an hour. Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues across hardware,
software, and networks. Conduct routine system checks and updates
to ensure the security and efficiency of IT systems. Handle and
resolve most Tier 1 / Tier 2 helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
Create and maintain technical documentation for both internal use
and customer support. Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment
including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
Oversee system performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Manage
software/hardware installations, updates, and license allocations.
Support network connectivity, Active Directory, VPN, and cloud
services like Azure. Implement and maintain Mobile Device
Management (MDM) protocols. Facilitate end-user training.
Participate in infrastructure project planning and execution.
Maintain accurate asset inventory. Periodically travel to other
locations within the state to service network infrastructure and
provide support Education and Experience Required: Associates
degree in computer science, IT, or related field is preferred
CompTIA A and/or Network certifications are preferred. At least 2
years of experience in a desktop support role. Strong
organizational and documentation skills. Experience with
Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, and endpoint security tools
Familiarity with Azure is a plus. Valid Drivers License with the
ability to operate company vehicles. Skills and
QualificationsRequired: Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to
non-technical users. Proven ability to adapt to new technologies
and respond effectively to IT incidents. Ability to handle multiple
tasks simultaneously and maintain confidentiality. Strong
problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to self-guide work and doesnt require day-to-day direction
