Job Description:

Develops highly scalable distributed applications built on Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA). Works with Micro Services, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), REST, and software quality, using test tools SoapUI, Selenium, and Cypress. Works on SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Hibernate, or any Java Persistence API (JPA) Mechanism. Improves site reliability by improving code observability, resiliency, and stability. Performs in Jenkins, GIT, and Bitbucket. Works with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Engineers, Designers, and Business Analysts). Designs and schedules batch jobs using Control-M to support operational workflows and data pipelines. Provides business solutions by developing complex software applications. Primary Responsibilities: • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. • Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms. • Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. • Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing. • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives. • Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. • Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project. • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing enterprise-grade Java and Python applications using Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud technologies. Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing enterprise-grade Java and Python applications using Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud technologies. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and tuning complex SQL and PL/SQL queries for databases Oracle, MySQL, SAP HANA and Microsoft SQL Server; optimizing queries on low-latency database applications using Oracle AWR, SQL Tuning Advisor, and SQL Server Database Tuning Advisor; and developing Business Intelligence (BI) reports by handling OLAP cubes for multidimensional analysis. • DE developing enterprise Java applications using Microservices architecture, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and AWS services (S3, RDS, ECS, EKS); integrating Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Jakarta Messaging (JMS) for asynchronous communication; performing enterprise caching and optimization using databases (Redis, Memcached, Snowflake, and Big Query); monitoring alerts using Datadog and New Relic, logging with Log4J and ELK stack, automating applications (using Python and Shell), and job scheduling using Control-M, Autosys, and Airflow. • DE designing and developing dynamic, responsive Web Model-View-Controller (MVC) applications using JavaScript, AngularJS/Angular and testing with tools (Jasmine and Karma); performing server-side development using Node.js and managing content using WordPress and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM); and applying security principles (XSS and CSRF), and using authentication technologies (OAuth, OAuth2, SAML, and Azure AD). • DE implementing Agile methodologies and applying DevOps principles across software development life cycle (SDLC), using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins and uDeploy), securing code analysis using (SonarQube and Fortify), and automating testing using (Selenium, Junit, and TestNG); and identifying performance bottlenecks using JProfiler, and performing version control and collaboration, using Bitbucket and GitHub.
