Job Description:

Join Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution, as a CDL Class B Delivery Truck Driver and contribute to the seamless delivery of over 150,000 food and related products nationwide. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks, and providing exceptional service to our clients. This position requires attention to detail, ability to work under minimal supervision, and a commitment to safety standards. Safely operate a delivery truck over established routes to deliver products to internal and external customers. Verify the load accuracy against the shipping papers, check product condition and maintain documentation. Unload products with a hand truck or dolly, installing products if required. Comply with all applicable Department of Transportation regulations including but not limited to, maintaining Hours of Service log and pre/post-trip inspections. Provide excellent customer service and handle customer concerns professionally. Collect payments, when necessary, and maintain accountability for all receipts. Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods. Ability to maneuver heavy objects with a hand truck or dolly Proficient in using technology and basic software systems such as GPS and data entry software Strong time management and customer service skills Knowledge of local roads and routes Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid CDL Class B license Clean driving record DOT medical card Forklift certification beneficial
