Job Description:
Production Operator 1st Shift - Monday to Friday - 7am to 3:30pm
Job Summary: Under the direction of the Shift Leader and Production
Supervisor/Manager, the Production Associate is responsible for the
set up and operation of equipment which
blends/mixes/packages/transports the liquid or dry chemicals that
comprise our customer products. The production associate ensures
safety is their 1 priority; they produce the highest quality
product at the lowest possible costs while meeting customer
specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with
Corporation policies and procedures. Sets up and starts all
machines, checking all controls for adherence to mixing or
packaging procedures. Weighs ingredients to meet recipe
specification and inserts into machinery Monitors production and
equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation Troubleshoots
equipment and processing issues Operates machinery to mix,
discharge or handle materials according to operating procedure.
Examines materials visually or physically to ensure conformance
with established standards May take samples of materials to lab for
evaluations and instructions Refers issues/problems to
lead/supervisor for disposition Performs all required machine
cleaning Completes and maintains all required computer inputs
Responsible for data integrity Documents work completed as required
including logs, data reports, procedures, etc. Participates in
training, retraining and continual improvement processes and
methods Maintains departmental housekeeping standards Supports the
vision, mission and guiding principles of the company Demonstrates
& meets qualification on blending, packaging, weighing operations &
fork lift. Demonstrates team work in all phases of operation.
Follows all rules, laws and procedures related to HS&E, ISO and
other regulations Other projects/duties as assigned or needed
Required Skill: Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral
instructions in English Must be able to read and comprehend safety
rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals
and product recipes/materials Must have mathematical skill to add,
subtract, multiply and divide and to apply these skills to weights,
measures of volume and distance. Must effectively communicate in
writing and verbally in English. Competency in computer and PC
software including email, internet, and MS office. Must have manual
dexterity for hand tools of various types. Must be able to drive
fork lift. Must have problem solving skills and some mechanical
aptitude. Required Education & Experience: US High School diploma,
GED equivalency or equivalent experience Six (6) months to one (1)
year of industrial/manufacturing experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The

per shift occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 55 lbs

or airborne particles noise level in the work environment ranges

hearing protection when on production floor steel toe shoes/boots
when on production floor specific gloves when performing specific
