and solutions in the industry. RESPONSIBILITIES • Produce accurate
components according to established standards and customer
specifications. • Effectively sets-up and operates tool room
equipment including, Bridgeport, Proto-Trak, Millers, Lathes,
Surface Grinders etc. according to established procedures. •
Performs accurate inspections of machined components to ensure
conformance to standards and specifications utilizing a variety of
inspection equipment. • Properly operates equipment to produce
quality production parts. • Maintains thorough and accurate records
and updates changes in accordance with established shop standards.
• Ensures on time deliveries within specified design parameters and
tooling budgets. • Efficiently analyses and improves machining
methods so as to cut costs and improve quality. • Maintain an
organized, clean and safe work environment by following 6S
standards. • Properly follow all procedures and policies. • Use
correct P.P.E. per JHAs and Job Description. Must wear protective
footwear that complies with ASTM F2413 & F2412. • Participate in
Continuous Improvement activities, including the Idea System. •
Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements: • Able to
perform essential duties satisfactorily. • High School or
Vocational Technical School Diploma preferred. State of Connecticut
Machinist Journeyman preferred or a minimum of two (2) years’
experience in manufacturing of die and fixture components.
Knowledge of Makino, Mikron, Kitamura 3XI or comparable CNC
machines preferred. • Ability to read and understand blueprints,
and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to do
basic math in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic
trigonometry and geometry. • Ability to define problems, collect
data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. • State of
Connecticut Machinist Journeyman certificate preferred. PHYSICAL
