Colonial Life is headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina with over 40 field offices nationwide.General Summary:Unum is looking for a Digital Transformation Specialist with change management experience to join our Enterprise Initiative Team, which is working on a CLI re-platforming project (Claims, Leaves & Insight). This is a critical role that will work with business partners to help migrate the CLI from IBM Cognos to Tableau as the primary business intelligence tool with a React/JS frontend. The Digital Transformation Specialist will play an important role in the project's change management by communicating with the business, internal/external clients, and third-party vendors. To be successful in this role, the candidate must be meticulous in planning how Unum will transition and identifying the appropriate clients for the pilot stage, as well as providing feedback on the look and feel of the application early in the process to ensure a smooth transition. In essence, Unum wants its clients to have a positive experience during the implementation of the new CLI platform. To communicate recommendations and influence buy-in, the successful candidate will rely heavily on strong analytical skills.Job Specifications

  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent relevant business experience.
  • 4+ years' experience delivering value to customers through problem solving, analytics, and/or digital assets, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrable Change Management experience
  • Proven ability to dive deep into complex systems and metrics and understand the business context behind the data and technology, continuously striving to find deeper insights.
  • Experience with conducting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research and turning the results into actional recommendations.
  • Experience executing on continuous improvement projects while building partnerships across business and development teams to drive digital solution changes.
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills with ability to effectively present to those in leadership positions.
  • Strong team player; able to work effectively within a team and more broadly with people from a variety of backgrounds and areas across the organization.
  • Demonstrates digital acumen and computational thinking while transforming technology to a digital experience
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks; work under minimal supervisionPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities
    • Understanding Voice-of-the Customer (VoC); identifies opportunities through surveys, customer interviews and focus groups. Will leverage digital based technology solutions to improve business performance and improve CSAT.
    • Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of of the operational area of assignment as well having a broader understanding of other functional areas.
    • Lead project management activities with a focus on utilizing data driven analysis to drive outcomes that will improve customer experience and operational readiness for digital solutions.
    • Leveraging complex data models to tell a story, effectively present and influence varying levels of leadership on innovative digital solution recommendations
    • Embrace and seek out learning opportunities to increase both technical and operational knowledge of the industry and company.
    • Exercises creativity and resourcefulness in solving technical problems in a way that maximizes the customer experience and improves operational efficiencies
    • Establishes strong, effective and collaborative partnerships with key business area leaders, project managers and subject matter experts to identify specific business opportunities or to address business needs or problems and help build effective solutions.
    • Builds complex data driven cost benefit analysis to present ideas to manager and leaders.
    • Collaborates closely with Product Owners, IT professionals and business area SME's.
