REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES Planning & Strategy
- Work with the HR Manager and team to support the Avesta
mission, values, and identified objectives.
- Use data to inform workforce planning and strategies, including
employee surveys and interviews. Recruitment, Hiring, Onboarding,
and Offboarding
- Identify effective recruiting strategies, screen candidates,
conduct and coordinate interviews, perform background checks, and
complete required documentation.
- Assist employees through hiring and onboarding, including
benefits enrollment.
- Implement strategies and methods that result in recruiting and
retaining employees of all backgrounds.
- Provide offboarding information and support. Compliance and
Administration
- Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, and
internal HR policies and procedures.
- With HR Manager guidance, administer policies related to
employee rights and benefits such as Family & Medical Leave Act
(FMLA), Americans with Disability Act (ADA), Unemployment Insurance
(UI), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Workers' Compensation,
Disability, and workplace safety and health.
- Assist in coordination and administration of comprehensive
compensation program.
- Coordinate performance evaluations including monitoring
completion and maintaining documentation.
- Assist in updating job descriptions, HR policies, and the
Employee Handbook.Employee Relations and Supervisory Support
- Assist employees with complaints and concerns. Be a trusted
resource.
- Respond to employee questions regarding wages, time off,
benefits, rights, and insurances.
- Assist supervisors to resolve issues, improve performance,
conduct performance evaluations, improve retention, and build
positive employee and interdepartmental relations.
- Provide guidance, coordinate, and participate in activities
related to disciplinary action.Culture, Team, and Safety

- Encourage the expansion of ideas, perspectives, and
understanding that comes from a diverse community.
- Partner and collaborate with individuals and teams to solve
problems.
- Participate in special projects and other duties that further
the mission and culture of Avesta.
- Communicate with the HR Manager all reports or instances where
employee health or safety is at risk, including all reported
instances of harassment or bullying. QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's
Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
(minimum of 3 years HR experience) - Excellent verbal and written
communication skills. - Experience with HR software and Microsoft
Office. - Knowledge of HR practices and experience in recruiting,
onboarding, and employee relations.PM21
