Are you an experienced arborist passionate about pruning, tree preservation, and leading teams to excel safely in the field? This role emphasizes ornamental and structural pruning excellence, leadership, operational safety, innovation, and crew development.

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Arborist Crew Lead dedicated to maintaining tree health and structural integrity, ensuring safe work practices, and fostering team growth through hands-on training and mentorship.

Essential Duties:

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading a crew in executing high-quality ornamental and structural pruning to enhance tree aesthetics, health, and safety.
Planning, organizing, and supervising daily field operations to ensure tasks are performed efficiently, effectively, and safely.
Training and mentoring crew members in proper pruning techniques, equipment usage, safety protocols, and best industry practices.
Communicating clearly and professionally with clients about project details, progress updates, and tree care recommendations.
Inspecting and maintaining all pruning equipment and ensuring its safe and optimal operation.
Enforcing rigorous safety standards, performing regular safety audits, and immediately addressing any unsafe practices or conditions.
Documenting daily job activities, team performance, and maintaining accurate records of work performed.
Driving company vehicles safely and responsibly to and from various job sites, including operation of trucks and trailers.
Collaborating with Arbor Active's certified arborists and management to continually refine processes, improve crew performance, and ensure client satisfaction.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Proven expertise in ornamental and structural tree pruning techniques.
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in supervising, training, and motivating field crews.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and ability to foster a culture of safety-first practices among crew members.
ISA Certified Arborist credential preferred or willingness to attain certification.
Valid driver's license with experience towing and maneuvering trailers safely.
Ability and willingness to obtain a DOT medical card.
Ability to consistently perform physically demanding tasks in various outdoor conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Background or previous experience in arboriculture, horticulture, forestry, landscape maintenance, or a closely related field highly preferred.
Experience in tree climbing, cabling, and bracing is highly desirable.
