In addition, Middlesex Asphalt in Central Florida is one of the largest and most productive asphalt plants in the United States with Middlesex Paving earning an equally solid regional presence and reputation. -Position Summary:An ironworker is responsible for safely positioning and uniting steel girders, columns, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks.Responsibilities:

• -Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value - Safety, first in everything we do.
• -Read specifications and blueprints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
• -Set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural steel members. Hoist steel beams, girders, and columns into place using cranes, using hand signals and tag lines.
• -Verify alignment and plumbing of steel structures and make corrections to erected structures as needed.
• -Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts following blueprints using various bolts, nuts, washers and torqueing.PIc33e33f64c0f-37820-37082738
