McWane Plant and Industrial, a leading plant and industrial supplier, is looking for a Machine Operator to join their team in Wethersfield, CT.

            • Ensure personal safety and the safety of team members by adhering to established safety protocols.
              • Assist supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
                • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, and protection for hands, feet, head, and eyes.
                  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area to support overall plant safety and efficiency.
                    • Promote and exemplify McWane Way principles in all work activities.
                      • Follow all procedures under the Clear Water Safety Management Program and promptly report any deviations to management.
                        • Identify fabrication requirements for each pipe section before initiating work.
                          • Load, center, and secure pipe in machine; operate equipment to machine tapered threads while verifying thread depth and taper accuracy.
                            • Test flanges to ensure proper thread fit and alignment with the pipe.
                              • Apply adhesive to pipe and flange; operate tightening machine to securely fasten the flange.
                                • Remove pipe from threading machine and transfer to the next stage of production (Threaders).
                                  • Operate lathe to run cutting tool across flange face, achieving a flush fit with the pipe (Lathes).
                                    • Handle pipe and flanges primarily ranging from 3" to 6" in diameter and lengths up to 18 feet.
                                      • Achieve prescribed production output targets while maintaining quality standards.
                                        • Perform accurate measurements using tape measures and micrometers.
                                          • Understand and monitor machinery processes to ensure efficient and safe operation.
