Job Description:


Central library supports users Lab-wide engaged in all stages of printed circuit board (PCB) development: from schematic capture through physical layout and simulation.
Duties Include:
Creation of library elements (symbols and cells) that re---ect industry standards (IPC, ANSI, IEEE) and best practices while providing custom solutions for state-of-the-art Laboratory-speci---c requirements when required.
Library data must be suitable for all areas of development, from laboratory research to high-reliability space ---ight programs (Level 1).
Utilize LParts (custom Library app) to manage the CAD library development process for user requests as well as historical data for reference, planning and forecasting.
Maintain, populate, and enhance Oracle database of over 31,000 component properties and documentation. Average additional rate is 160 parts/month. As time permits, review and improve, if needed, the quality of existing parts.
Synchronize CAD Library with the Laboratory's materials requirements planning (MRP) system (SAP), and newly deployed Product Life Management (PLM) system (Aris) thus enabling tightly coupled processes for procurement, inspection and traceability of electronic components.
Self-starter with at least one-year experience building parts using Mentor Graphics Library Manager for the Integrated Common Database/Parts Database (iCDB/PDB) ---ow.
Proven track record developing symbol/cell library elements for high-reliability space----ight programs
Experience in populating property database (Oracle) to ful---ll bill of material (BOM), MRP (SAP), and PLM (Aras) requirements through use of DxDatabook.
Knowledge of PCB engineering, IPC, IEEE and MIL speci---cations, MRP systems are required.
UNIX shell scripting and network experience, Oracle relational database queries, written and oral communication, drafting geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GDT) relating to electronic component packaging technologies, Ball Grid Arrays (BGA), Chip Scale Packages (CSP), Quad No-lead (QFN) etc---
