  • General Information:
  • Beds: 5 Cath Labs, 2 EP Labs, 2 IR Labs
  • 36 bed pre/recovery area
  • 2-years minimum experience in Cath Lab/IR
  • Will you accept first time travelers? No, need at least 1-year travel experience
  • Patient Types Travelers are Expected to Care for:
  • Inpatient and Outpatient
  • Adults and some IR Peds (not common)
  • Take all levels of acuity (diagnostic to cardiogenic shock)
  • Patient types
    • EP: general EP including device implants (PPM, AICD) and ablations
    • Skillsets required:
      • Travel staff are assigned to modalities based on their experience/competency. Experience in two modalities preferred (CL, EP,IR/N/V)
      • RN: Read and interpret EKG, Cardiac Drip Titration, Scrub experience (preferred)
      • Please ask all travelers about charge experience and include in the offer info if they have/have not worked in a CRN capacity
        • Tech:
          • EP techs: scrub and pan x-ray table. EP monitor experience preferred.
          • Required Certifications:
          • Tech:
            • BLS
            • ARRT and ME state license OR RCES/RCIS certified
            • Support:
              • Nurse manager
              • Two assistant managers
              • Charge nurse
              • Lead tech for each specialty area
              • Hospitalist, 24/7 primary for Medical/Surgical patients
              • RT 24/7
              • Charting System/Equipment:
                • CERNER PowerChart for the hospital
                • Merge hemodynamics
                • Alaris IV pumps
                • Pyxis
                • Specialty equipment used: Phillips x-ray in Cath Lab and EP, Siemens x-ray for IR/Neuro-Vascular, Maquet balloon pump, Impella, CSI, Angiojet/Jetstream, Phillips Laser, EKOS, Sonosite for ultrasound, Abbott for FFR, Boston Scientific for IVUS, MedRad Arterion for IR, MedRad Avanta for Cath Lab, Penumbra, CardioMems
                • Scheduling: Same for RNs and RTs
                  • M-F, 0700-1730. Four 10-hour shifts/week with 1 day off.
                  • Call: 1 day/week and about every 6th weekend
                    • Weekday call is 1730-0700; weekday call team will complete last case of the day
                    • Weekend call is 1730 Friday - 0700 Monday
                      • Call Team:
                        • Cath Lab: 2 RN/2 Techs (may have 3 RN/1 Tech)
                        • IR/Neuro: 1 RN/2 Techs - 1 RN/1 Tech for IR nights
                        • 30-minute response time
                        • No sleep rooms
                        • RTO: all requests to be approved by NM
                        • Floating:
                          • Float between Cath Lab/IR/EP - within limits of skillsets
