Global Strategic Sourcing ManagerJob Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a global purchasing team of 10 (US and Malaysia), fostering professional growth and accountability Oversee an annual spend of approximately $15M across a diverse supply base Manage sourcing for a low volume complex product mix, including both purchased parts/components and custom, made-to-spec parts Work with the purchasing team to develop a global strategy, enhance processes, build new capabilities, and grow into a world-class sourcing function Engage directly in the details to fully understand current practices and identify opportunities for improvement Partner with engineers to evaluate alternative components, suppliers, and sourcing strategies that drive flexibility and cost savings Take ownership of active inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels while reducing excess Develop creative and strategic approaches to cost reduction that do not rely on traditional volume discounts Build strong, long-term supplier relationships and proactively pursue opportunities such as year-end or time-sensitive purchase discounts Work with suppliers to establish contracts that balance cost, quality, and delivery while creating room for collaboration and future innovation Monitor supplier KPIs and lead strategic continuous improvement initiatives.
