Under general supervision and incompliance with Credit Union
policies and procedures, perform a wide variety of duties in
support of the business development and marketing facets of the
credit union. This individual will assist the Business Development
Specialist with all communications and training with in-school
Ambassadors. The position will include travel to SEG schools in
order to promote CU products and services, bring in new members,
educate, and cross-sell to existing members through scheduling and
hosting of in-school meetings. Support of and participation in
production of CU events. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Business Development Specialist with maintain the
database of all SEG schools including current list & contact
information for all Ambassadors, updating as Ambassadors retire &
change schools. Arrange for & train new Ambassadors to replace
former Ambassadors. Assist with the communications & building
relationships with Teacher Union representatives to keep them
informed of WCTFCU's products and services, and attend union
functions. Assist in the communication with our Ambassadors,
Principals, School Administrators, Guidance Counselors, and
Teachers to develop more engagement within the schools re: our
products and services. Develop and maintain a thorough
understanding of CU products & services portfolio, and special
offers. Understand which products are appropriate for different
life-stages & demographics, and know how to use conversational
style to introduce the right products, to the right
potential/current member, at the right time. Provide answers to
Members' questions and follow-up with additional information when
appropriate or requested. Assist the Business Development
Specialist with scheduling and hosting virtual or in-person coffee
hours, lunch visits, or informational sessions in every school,
each school year; ensure that all schools are visited 1-2x each
school year; optimally 2 visits/school per school-year.
Professionally and with solid knowledge of CU offering, represent
the CU within SEG schools and various events. Communicate CU value
proposition, educate regarding products and services, cross-sell to
existing members, sign-up new members, open new accounts. Prepare
and distribute our marketing materials, applications, premiums,
etc. Assist in increasing member penetration in all schools, with a
concentration on the schools with the least penetration Collaborate
with the Business Development Specialist and the Marketing
Specialist on the social media calendar and create posts regarding
schools visits and events we are present at. Develop constructive
relationships with peers in Member Services and Lending departments
in order to efficiently facilitate new account or products orders
and to promptly follow on inquires that originate through business
development efforts. Maintain and provide reports of member
cross-sales and new accounts opened. Attend and participate in New
Teacher Orientations and Convocations at the beginning of School
Year to introduce WCTFCU, sign on new members, and cross-sell from
our product portfolio. Collaborate with the Business Development
Specialist and the Marketing Specialist, and others in the
production and support for member engagement events including but
not limited to Annual Meetings, Ambassador Events, Shred Hunger
Days, Member Appreciation Day, and Scholarship Ceremony. Attend
school community and strategic partnership events to network,
prospect, and spotlight WCTFCU products and services. Other duties
as assigned. NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the

RESPONSIBILITIES None CORE COMPETENCIES Member-service oriented,

decision-making insight, problem solver, "people" skills Strong
knowledge of credit union products, services, features, and
benefits, as well as the credit union philosophy. Or ability to
quickly learn and develop this. Understands and appropriately uses
marketing tools and materials; both digital and traditional
including social media. Excellent written and oral communication
skills. Communicates honestly, clearly, and concisely; to
accurately present ideas, facts, and technical information. Able to
interpret and disseminate information. Able to prepare basic
reports and use the appropriate modes of communication. Required
computer literacy: tech-savvy, competency with standard programs &
networks. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint, Facebook & Twitter. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree
preferred or a combination of education and related experience.
EXPERIENCE Background in education and/or a minimum two years of
sales or marketing experience preferably in financial services.
