motivated Senior Research Associate to join ourRNA
Technologiesteam. This is a position with a primary focus on
building andexecuting uponprocesses to synthesize mRNA for our lead
Crispr/Cas9 gene editing programs. The ideal applicant will be able
to work on mRNA synthesis and characterize mRNA quality. Experience
with oligonucleotide enzymatic and/or chemicalsynthesis,basic
nucleic acid biochemistry and molecular biology is preferred.
Duties/Responsibilities Synthesize RNA from DNA
templatesourcesleveragingestablished enzymatic in vitro
transcription processes to deliver high quality transcripts for
downstream applications at small and medium scales. Leverage
existing workflows to purify and characterize RNAs
byestablishedmethods depending on RNA scale and purpose. Execute
routine mRNA production batches to meet company’s deadlines with
manager guidance. Collaborate with colleagues to further develop
enzymatic processes and analytical methods to characterize and
improve key quality attributes of novel RNAs. Provide high quality
data to drive decision making in the team. Operate
andmaintainmultiple laboratory instruments.
Assistinmaintaininggeneral laboratory functionality. Requirements
Skills/Abilities Experience in small-scale and mid-scale invitro
transcription workflows. Excellent verbal and written communication
skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet
deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to
function well in a high-pacedand at timesstressful environment.
Ability to multitask and handle a diverse array of challenges
within a dynamic team environment. Education / Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry,Biologyor related
fieldor Master's Degree. Experience Bachelor’s Degree in
Biochemistry, Chemistry,Biologyor related field with at least 2-3
years(co-op, internship, or research assistant)experienceor
Master's Degree with 0-1 years of industry experience Physical
Requirements Optimal fine motor skills. Prolonged periods of

salary for this position is expected to range between $90,000.00 -
$110,000.00 USD per year. The salary offered is determined based on
a range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant
education and training, overall related experience, specialized,
rare or in-demand skill sets, internal comparators and other
business needs. Upon joining Intellia, your salary will be reviewed
periodically and additional factors such as time in role and
performance will be considered. Intellia may change the published
salary range based on company and market factors. Additional
compensation includes a performance-based annual cash bonus, a new
hire equity grant, and eligibility to be considered for annual
equity awards the value of which are determined annually at the
