Job Description Job Description Back Office Medical Patient Scheduler – (Wallingford, CT) Our esteemed client, an independent, board-certified, and top cardiovascular practice known for delivering comprehensive, patient-centered cardiac care, is hiring a Patient Scheduler to join their organization. This organization is committed to excellence, compassion, and accessibility—serving hundreds of patients each day across multiple Hartford County locations. Pay Rate: $21-22/HR (Depending on related experience) Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM Employment Type: 6 Month Contract to Hire (Long term & Permanent opportunity) Office Location: Wallingford, CT Position Overview Handle inbound and outbound phone calls pertaining to patient appointment scheduling Scheduling and rescheduling patient visits Triaging incoming calls to providers, RNs, and medical staff Provide information about office hours, procedures, and preparation instructions Enter and update patient data in the electronic health record (EHR) system Performing insurance verification and related administrative tasks Required Skills & Qualifications Must have previous experience with EMR programs Patient scheduling Medical scheduling Patient access and service Working in a fast-paced medical office environment Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to multitask effectively are essential. Work Environment High-volume, fast-paced medical office setting Back office environment (Non Patient Facing) Collaborative team environment supporting cardiovascular care Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wallingford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
