Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. This position combines direct instructional responsibilities with program leadership as a Special Education Director and Resource Room Teacher in a K-12 school setting. The role involves supervising special education staff, managing resources, and supporting individualized academic planning to enhance student achievement. This split position requires a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment aligned with the schools core beliefs. Location: Ann Arbor, MI Work Hours: 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM Caseload: 8-9 students Employment Type: Contract to Hire, for the current school year Start Date: Immediate Key Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction to students with special needs in a resource room setting Administer and oversee special education programs and services Supervise and support special education staff to ensure compliance and quality of instruction Collaborate with educators and families to develop individualized academic plans Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress Uphold the academys core beliefs and educational goals Qualifications: Valid K-12 Special Education teaching license required Experience working in a resource room environment Strong leadership and supervisory skills in special education program administration Ability to balance instructional duties with administrative responsibilities Commitment to individualized student support and achievement This role offers the opportunity to impact student success through both teaching and educational leadership.
