Job Description Job Description ID Grinder Machinist | 2nd shift | canton | $26-$34/hr Job Description We are seeking a skilled OD Grinder Machinist to join our team, working on the second shift from 5 PM to 3 AM. As an OD Grinder Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and running ID grinding, profile grinding, and all CNC work. This role requires expertise in running programs and performing machine set-ups, adjustments, tear-downs, change-overs, and tool changes. Experience with Fanuc, OSP5000 Okuma, and/or Heidenhain systems is preferred. Responsibilities Program, setup, operate, and run ID grinding, profile grinding, and CNC work. Perform machine set-ups, adjustments, tear-downs, change-overs, and tool changes. Use GD&T and read blueprints daily to meet part specifications. Troubleshoot machine errors and perform machine upkeep. Ensure precision and adherence to tight tolerances. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years operating, setting up, and programming CNCs in a job shop environment. Experience with CNC machines and OD/ID grinders. Capability to program at the machine using AutoCAD and Master CAM. Experience in set-up and tear-down processes, potentially performing multiple times a shift. Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance). Knowledge of G&M code (Machine Control Language). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Mazak Machines using Mazatrol Systems. Familiarity with Okuma and Heidenhain systems. Conversational programming experience. Why Work Here?
