Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - CCU Job Details: • Work in a 10-bed Critical Care Unit serving as the only Neuro Critical Care Unit in Northern New England • Float to SICU and other critical care units as needed • Care for primary stroke center patients including ischemic strokes (thrombectomy, TPA), hemorrhagic strokes (ventriculostomies & emergent evacuation) • Provide care for neurosurgery patients (tumor resections, brain/spine abscesses) • Manage neuro-medical conditions including meningitis, encephalitis, and neuromuscular disorders • Work with 18-bed SICU patients including surgical, trauma, neuro, plastics, multiple organ failure, and sepsis cases • Required experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ICP monitoring • Manage ventilated patients with pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications • Assist with line insertion and maintenance for post-surgical patients • Handle specialized equipment including ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, EVD • Work with PA lines and perform waveform interpretation • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Critical care experience required Facility: This medical center operates the only Neuro Critical Care Unit in Northern New England, providing specialized neurological and critical care services.
