Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for an experienced Special Education Teacher serving elementary students in an inclusive classroom setting. The position supports 10-11 students with disabilities, working alongside 1.5 paraprofessional staff members to provide individualized instruction and support. The role is based onsite in Plainville, CT, and is ideal for educators who hold valid Connecticut Special Education licensure. Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborating with grade-level teams, and adapting teaching methods to meet student needs. The assignment begins ASAP to cover a medical leave, with potential for extension, and requires full-time availability, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (35 hours per week).
